Southbank
(1 apartment)
Southbank is so central; just across the Yarra River from Melbourne CBD. The never-ending Southbank Promenade is famous for its world-class restaurants, shops and of course, Crown Casino. In addition, there are multiple food outlets, buskers and arts & crafts events. And the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (better known as Jeff’s Shed) is just across Clarendon Street, opposite the Casino.
There are so many things of interest in or very close to Southbank such as Melbourne Aquarium, Flinders Street Station, Federation Square (Fed Square), Young & Jackson Hotel, St Andrews Cathedral, Alexandra and Queen Victoria Gardens and Kings Domain, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Victorian Arts Centre and Victoria Barracks.
Within walking distance from Southbank are many icons such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne Park (Tennis Centre) and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG or the G). You can also find Telstra Dome, Southern Cross Station, the Rialto Building & Stock Exchange, and the Melbourne Convention Centre. The Free City Circle Tram will take you right around the city. Along the way you can stop off at Queen Victoria Market and visit many famous Melbourne shopping locations.
If you want to go further field, you can take a tram to St Kilda (15 mins), Port Melbourne (10 mins), Bridge Road shopping strip (5 mins) or Chapel Street shopping & restaurant strip (20 mins). And CityLink is on your doorstep, connecting you with all major freeways out of the city.

This is our newest apartment which opened in December 2007 at SouthBank. It has a tennis court, a 25m lap pool, bar-b-que, balcony with great views of Port Phillip Bay and air-conditioning. It is 300m from Crown Casino and the very popular Yarra River restaurant and shopping strip, and the CBD is just across the river.
St Kilda
(3 apartments)
A seaside resort for Melbournians in Queen Victoria's era, later a notorious red-light district, St Kilda is home to many of Melbourne's rising creative stars and professionals.
Drawn by the many funky bars, outstanding restaurants and eclectic shops, this well-heeled crowd has brought an influx of spending power that's transformed a once neglected seaside suburb into Victoria's unchallenged ‘Capital of Cool'.
The world-famous patisseries, the landmark Edelweiss Delicatessen and the popular Sunday art-and-craft market on the Esplanade are all still here and still thronged with customers.
But many hip newcomers have added to the vibrant cosmopolitan mix - sophisticated drinking spots, cozy and enticing restaurants, haute couture and New Age fashion outlets, Internet cafes, live music venues, the new Farmer's Market - and much more.
St Kilda offers an endlessly fascinating pot-pouri of modern pop and café culture, enhanced for people-watchers by a constant stream of sometimes eccentric, always colorful characters and Beautiful People from all over the globe.
There are so many interesting things in St Kilda,
the Esplanade Markets, ride the roller coaster at Luna Park, have coffee and cake in Acland Street, dine at one of the many restaurants in Fitzroy Street, or catch the ferry to Williamstown from St Kilda pier.
There is also Albert Park Lake, St. Kilda Beach, cycle and roller-blading tracks that go on forever, and the cinemas & live theatre. The list of attractions goes on an on.
If you're in Melbourne on a working holiday, St Kilda is a great place to base yourself.
It is serviced by three major tram routes but if you must drive there's plenty of parking – or why not work up a healthy appetite for some of our great food - walk along the beach from Port Melbourne and enjoy the sweeping views of Port Philip Bay!

St Kilda Road
(1 apartment)
St Kilda Road is sometimes called the second CBD of Melbourne. With a massive number of office buildings and residential apartment buildings, it is an unusual mix. On route to many locations, multiple tram stops allow people to quickly find their way to every location of interest in Melbourne.
Along the route you will find Flinders Street Station, Federation Square (Fed Square), Young & Jackson Hotel, St Andrews Cathedral, Alexandra and Queen Victoria Gardens, Kings Domain and the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Shrine of Remembrance, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Victorian Arts Centre and Victoria Barracks. There is also the Melbourne Grammar School, Fawkner Park, Albert Park Public Golf Course, Albert Cricket Ground, (where the Brisbane Lions camp in Melbourne), Wesley College, the Belgian Beer Garden, and the Alfred Hospital.
And don't forget, just next door is Albert Park itself, (the home of the Australian Grand Prix and no less than 10 separate cricket ovals including Junction Oval, where many national matches are played), and Albert Park Lake .
